| Fabulous; for me this album is on one level with ok computer; I noticed Beatles and particularly John Lennon roots; unbelievably emotional and talented!!! For me trail of dead are the Beatles of the new century. | |

| The album is exactly what you'd expect from a once excellent but still very good ageing band. The intro resembles a lot to the Worlds Apart intro, a little bit less medieval though. Stand in Silence is also a song that could easily be found on Worlds Apart. Naked Sun is a very good single, with horns, a bluesy beat, a very good song! So Divided and Life have a very later Pink Floyd influence, while Eight Day Hell has an earlier Floyd sound. Witches Web and Sunken Dreams are very mellow songs. Wasted State Of Mind is by far the best song of the album, and probably of their whole discography! Now let's talk about the cover. Man is it ugly! While the front seems appalling, the inlay looks like cheap Sims scenes, with different fonts for each song, that remind me of the cover of Babylon Zoo!! | |
