Produced by Dave Cooley (Silversun Pickups, J Dilla), Darker My Love's sophomore album, 2, is awash with the same feedback-filled guitars and pounding rhythms that made its debut a standout but coupled now with a newfound sense of melody. Over 11 tracks, the quintet, rounded out by new member Will Canzoneri on organ, demonstrates its love for fuzzy, reverb-laden rock and roll and sunburnt harmonies that stick in your head long after the needle has left the groove.

Kicking off with the guitar squall of 'Northern Soul,' the album plays out like a musical odyssey complete with shimmering anthems, blasts of buoyant pop and a few surprises.
