2010, Minty Fresh Records
VINYL FORMAT. On limited edition 180 gram vinyl; comes with a digital download! Glitter Rock. Opulent '80s Pop. Glammy Prog. Bearded, backwoods Elk Rock. Moving in and out of these genres over the course of ten songs, The Orange Peels have achieved their own vision on their own terms. Recording the album at its modernistic Eichler headquarters in Northern California, the band took its time to create a unique listening experience on heavy, very limited edition 180 gram vinyl. Produced by Allen Clapp (vocals, piano guitar and drums), Oed Ronne (The Ocean Blue) on lead guitars, electric sitar and vibes, Jill Pries on bass guitars, Bob Vickers (Incredible Vickers Bros.) on drums and guitars, and John Moremen (Jad Fair, Roy Loney) on guitars, all the current and itinerant members of the band are represented. Even the band's original lead guitarist, Larry Winther, took off his reunion-era Mummies bandages for a few minutes to grace the album's lead track with a chicken-y guitar solo. 2020 is the group's strongest effort in an already rock-solid catalog.
