77 Boa Drum

On July 7th, 2007 at 7:07 PM, Japanese group Boredoms, orchestrated a performance by 77 drummers at the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park in Brooklyn, NY. Nearly three years later, the experience is finally making its way to DVD in the United States. 77 Boa Drum is the official live performance documentary of the event, complete with behind the scenes rehearsal footage, interviews, and of course, lots of footage of the actual performance. The all-star cast of 77 drummers includes Butchy Fuego (Pit er Pat, M.I.A.), Kid Millions (Oneida, White Hills), Andee Connors (A Minor Forest, Aquarius Records), Daniel Franz (Arbouretum, Beach House), Chris Brokaw (Come, The New Year), Hisham Bharoocha (Soft Circle), Brian Chippendale (Lightning Bolt), and Tim DeWitt (Gang Gang Dance). Packaged in a four panel DVD wallet with three postcards (Couldn't make it 7, guys? – Ed.) featuring photographs from the performance.
