A Party in Motion

If you don't have one planned you better start because San Fransisco's Still Flyin' return with their brand new EP A Party in Motion, and nothing says "kickstart my party" like Still Flyin'. This time around the dozen-plus members of the band have compressed a night's worth of fun into four little songs. Okay, so two of them are well over six minutes, but you get my point. The record opens with "Bull Riff," a track with a beat that will quickly have your head bopping. "Strength" is a more simple pop number, on which Sean Rawls passes for the vocal doppleganger of Thurston Moore. "Neu Idea" takes you on a melodic little journey. The album closer "Higher Than Five" is the masterpiece of this record though. An infectious vocal refrain signals the group to kick it into a higher gear for a whirlwind culmination.
