As part of the burgeoning midwestern hiphop scene, Minneapolis natives Heiruspecs bring live hip hop into a new arena, performing live without samples or a dj, the group breaks down preconceptions of what live hip hop is all about! Tapped to perform as the backing band for such acts as Atmosphere, Oddjobs, Aesop Rock, Sage Francis and others, the group has developed into one of the pre-eminent live hip hop bands in the nation. Heiruspecs’ debut Razor & Tie release, A Tiger Dancing is sure to add international acclaim to the group’s already long list of achievements. Heiruspecs first made inroads with their 2002 indie album, Small Steps, which was lauded by both national and regional outlets ("Exceptional...the rhythm that rocks the spot" - URB), and set the group on a touring schedule that has seen the group do over 150 dates a year for the last two years. Musically as solid as their touring abilities, A Tiger Dancing features intensity and jam-band style presentation.
