AM/FM
The post-punk duo AM/FM was formed by inspiring musician perfectionist Brian Sokel. Having played in bands such as Franklin, he joined forces with the Science Of's Michael Parsell (Frail, Goodbye Blue Monday) so Sokel's lush acoustics could fully take life with added guitars, keyboards, and percussion. It's uncertain as to what AM/FM was referring when they titled the collection, as the duo certainly did not tank in the least on this sophomore effort. Originally, these four songs were slated to be part of an album, but oddly enough ended up fitting together very neatly as a concept EP about an astronaut. The EP builds on top of AM/FM's dense pop arrangements and add huge guitar symphonies and string arrangements for a fully fleshed-out sound.

At 26, Brian Sokel has played in numerous bands throughout the years, but has stuck most notably with the band Franklin.
