Above the Ashes

VINYL FORMAT. 1980s Bay Area Thrash band Ulysses Siren's recording history consists of just two demos, which make up the album Above the Ashes. Recording quality is surprisingly good on both and captures the peak of the bands frantic, yet highly original Bay Area thrash metal between 1985-87. Features John Torres (Heathen, Warning SF, ex-Slough Feg) on guitar/bass. If you combined Violence, early Exodus, and early Legacy-era Testament, you'd be pretty close to what these guys sound like. But as mentioned, they were original and not a clone band, which is what makes this album so important as there were only a precious handful of original sounding bands from this area at that time. Needless to say, it's absolutely mandatory for fans of Bay Area thrash. Gatefold sleeve contains just about every band photo in existence and some of the best flyers for shows they have played. There are only 500 of these vinyl copies, so act quick as they are almost gone!
