Add It Up is the debut 7" by New York electronic trio BRAHMS. A side "Add It Up" melds the unfolding synth-scapes of middle Europa to a maximalist take on digital dub production, slowly unveiling itself as an existential paean to the half-empty. "Repeat It," on the B-side, takes the emotional framework of "Add It Up" and pushes both the tempo and intensity, evoking the sound of classic Front 242 and their peers for whom the dance floor was more nightmarish and celebratory. Both tracks are rooted in tension and claustrophobia.
