It's been so long since their last release, and there's been an extreme progression in their song writing abilities, and it's very obvious. Much more time was spent on intricate guitar structures it seems like. The instruments on this release work together beuatifully to create an excellent mood. Think FIRESIDE and SAMIAM. Melodic, emotive hardcore. Rough, sung vocals with an edge, members whon know how to play their instruments well with a strong underlying aggression that is quickly displayed in their bursts from quiet picking into strongly distorted chords and off key guitar lines. If you like anything remotely close to the emo or hardcore genre, or you liked anything else that The Tie That Binds has put out, then this release is a must have for you.
