Adrian Shaw
Adrian Shaw's first big claim to fame was as the bassist for the Crazy World of Arthur Brown. He played with a wide number of other bands later, most notably Crazy World of Arthur Brown spin-off Atomic Rooster. In 1977 he joined Hawkwind, having been asked several years before and turning them down. The group decided to call it quits the next year, leaving Shaw without a band once again. However, he had recorded with them on five albums by then -- Quark, Strangeness and Charm, PXR5, Live 1976-77, Hawkwind Live and Hawklords, and Free Festival. The latter three are all part of the Weird Tapes series. He took some time off, then hooked up with a band that he had previously, called Magic Muscle.
