All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors

These are the first "Official" recordings of ALL NATURAL LEMON & LIME FLAVORS, from 1995, which marked the beginning of a new era. Studio Engineer Alap Momin (CHISEL, VAN PELT, RYE COALITION, dälek, THE LAPSE, TRANS MEGETTI, etc.) was so impressed with their earlier demos that he decided to spend the next six months on their now infamous, long out-of-print debut full-length. He was quoted as saying, "these guys changed my life and the way I think about music. They left an indelible mark on my sensibilities as an arranger and an engineer." Only 500 copies were originally pressed in 1996, and the success of its release was overshadowed by L&L's subsequent singles and 1998's Turning Into Small on Gern Blandsten, the full-length that put them "on the map" with names like SLOWDIVE, SWERVEDRIVER, ROLLERSKATE SKINNY and other dizzy popsters that may prompt one to consume dramamine before listening. The long-awaited return of L&L's self-titled, self-released debut shows "shoegaze" as less of an intrusive specter, with bands like THE SUNDAYS and THE BOO RADLEYS as a more prominent influence. Since they were all between 19 and 21 years old it recalls a slightly more innocent past. Many early fans consider this collection to be the groups best work, which has been buried for years. Now it's waiting to be heard again, thanks to Gern Blandsten Records!
