Alt Er Tabt

The sound of Alt Er Tabt, the newest effort from Denmark's Under Byen, is more primal, raw and straightforward. The instruments appear in their pure materiality where music can be mistaken for actual sound. A cello sounds like wood, a guitar like steel. The music and lyrics are constantly on the verge of exploding into a new meaning, complexity, and subtlety.
