VINYL FORMAT. Altair Nouveau consists of Brandon Mitchell, a young producer from the West Coast currently residing in San Francisco. Altair Nouveau's music, though designed with the dance floor in mind, evokes a uniquely personal element. It is the combination of these two features that gives Altair Nouveau its indistinguishable, larger-than-life, spaced-out future disco sound sure to cause a dance-floor frenzy.

The title track of his debut 12", "Space Fortress," charges out of the gate on the back of a throbbing bass line with synthesizers blazing. Quickly building, it flies high then lands in a valley of rhythmic pulses before entering the whirlwind again and ascending back into the heavens. "Showdown" is exactly that, with its slow, dramatic electronic transcendence and lush, minimal vocal harmonies. The swirling jazz funk of "Sorcerer," full of bright and shimmering synthesizer melodies, conjures up a siren-like magic that expands beyond the far reaches of space.
