The sounds captured here on "The American Scene" range from languid Neil Young/Byrds/Mojave 3 type meanderings to Belle and Sebastian/Stereolab style driftings, right into Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood style duets, yet you never get the feeling that you've left the world of Ashley Park.
