2011, Howells Transmitter
There's a wonderful unpredictability about Ammunition Teeth's electronic art-pop. Listening to it, one gets the sense that each song could go in any number of directions, and the band's collage approach means that any sort of instrument or manipulated found sound could show up at any time. Of course, that's not to say that the songs feel arbitrary. "Everything Goes," first featured on the In A Cloud comp earlier in 2010, is about as catchy a song as I've heard all year. The rest of the tape similarly transforms vintage synth sounds and gritty drum samples into catchy, experimental pop music. – The Bay Bridged
