2012, Equal Vision
VINYL FORMAT.. Say Anything has been making odd, unclassifiable indie music since they were teenagers, playing strangely literate, loud rock—characterized by what one could only imagine if Larry David fronted a Fugazi covers band with Queen’s early members. Birthed from the indie-punk boom of the early 2000s, Say Anything found odd prominence with …Is a Real Boy, which broke the ‘pretty boy punk’-mold and established a career that thrived somewhere between what a pretentious college kid (or your older brother) and the loud crap your little brother plays to piss him off. Say Anything followed that up with another eclectic but lengthy LP, In Defense of the Genre, and then their bratty self-titled album. Anarchy, My Dear is their fourth record, and it promises more of everything above.
