Floating World (CD)
Michigan's ecstatic 7 piece marching band collective finally release their first album after 6 years & 18 tours. Moves from meditative to earnest vulnerability. Songs inspired by Japanese folklore, enhanced by various lyrics harmonized in Japanese. They've been called an American Sigur Ros with their lush soundscapes, handclaps, horns, xylophones, chains, big bass drums, glockenspiel & more. The imaginative ensemble's echo integrates every-day matter, such as scissors, Velcro & balloons as percussion devices, orchestrating their airways with trombones & floating bass drums amongst all other sound.
