Jim O'Rourke has been listening to this stuff for years. He liked Nuno Canavarro's Plux Quba so much he even reissued it on his own Moikai imprint in the mid nineties. Compiled by Rafael Toral and Plancton Music, the best of over 30 years of Portuguese Electronic music can be found on Antologia de Música Electrónica Portuguesa. Amongst other things the compilers have uncovered classic material omitted from Plux Quba, O'Rourke's favorite album of all time.
