1999, Audio Information Phenomena
In October 1998, the #4 toured with Kurt Heasley's Lilys, which prompted the band to enlist Kurt as producer for their new audio adventure. Enter 1999, The Asteroid NumberFour present their long awaited follow-up to 98's "introducing" with an experiment in an entirely new direction. Abandoning their delay pedals, and delving into the traditional aspects of psychedelia, the #4 step back to the 60s with a 90s sensibility.
With influences on this record ranging from Nick Drake to the Who to the Kinks, "Apple Street" is destined to be a modern day rock n' roll classic. Recorded entirely in Philadelphia's renowned Deep Space Recording Company, with help from Studio 45's Dave Shuman and Deep Space's Carmine DeGennarro, the sound of "The Apple Street" is timeless.
