Funeral (LP)
VINYL FORMAT. An intense spectacle even on record, this rather large ensemble hailing from Montreal is on a mission. Prepare to get caught up in it all! Look out below indeed...The Arcade Fire bring a theatricality, an intensity, an insanity, and a penchant for amazing hooks to their debut full-length release, "Funeral." You have never heard such energy, such beauty, and such emotion from such a young band. Fans of Neutral Milk Hotel, Broken Social Scene, and Roxy Music's first two albums will have a new favorite band, The Arcade Fire!

| This album is truly amazing. If you haven't yet been dragged into the great cult of Arcade Fire, you're in for a treat. This album takes you through every possible emotion, and leaves you stunned afterwards. It's hard to say what makes this album so good. The use of alternative instruments like accordions, xylophones, upright basses, cellos, horns and harps? The great lyrical stories about waking up without power? In the end, it doesn't really matter... Once you've put this album in you cd player, you wouldn't ever want take it out again. | |

| Honestly, this is the best album I've ever heard. I know that sounds just a little over the top but the first time you listen to this record will not be your last. Guaranteed. | |
