In Case We Die (CD)
#23 Seller of 2005! Stone says about them, "There are eight of them. And they make an orchestra's worth of sumptuous music, bently movening music (electronics, brass, xylophone, boy-angel vocals, enchanted schoolgirl chorals) that improves on the arctic mystery of Sigur Ros by adding the infectious thrust of the B-52's." Everything on In Case We Die, from the intensely sweet melodies and vocals to the widescreen production, delivers the kind of playful pop majesty that Fingers Crossed's best moments hinted were within Architecture in Helsinki's grasp.- All Music Guide

| Oft-compared to The Fiery Furnaces and for good reason, what with the ADD symphonies and the completely over the top manipulation of everything pop. But while the Furnaces this year (2005) went from straight pop to completely out of control prog-excess in one bold, stumbling leap, AIH achieved a perfect balance between musical madness and perfect song craft. There are at least eight members in this Australian outfit, and everybody?s bringing the kitchen sink! This is a very playful, silly album. Hell, it?s downright ridiculous at times, like hanging out with a completely strung out and hopped up Cat in the Hat. This album makes me think of the Starlight Mints and Brian Wilson?s ''Smile'' album. That?s pretty sweet. | |

| This years Of Montreal or Fiery Furnaces for sure. Glee-pop that is as experimental as it is accessible and Wishbone is among by favorite songs of the year. | |

| Rock to bring out the Charlie Brown in everyone one. Sweet harmonies and and some kick ass triangle play. | |
