Ashamed is the Thieves' most eclectic and complete release to date. Written as a full band for the first time ever, this album explores a darker side of Suffering & The Hideous Thieves that stems from Jeff Bettger's previous musical endeavors – Raft of Dead Monkeys and Ninety Pound Wuss. In light of this darker exploration, they also take a dive into gentler, more pop-oriented songwriting. This album pulls out all the stops and allows the band to experiment with sounds, both vocally and instrumentally. Recorded at two different studios, the band effortlessly captures the rawness of the darker songs and the beauty of the lighter songs…an amazing chapter in this band's lifetime.
