The long-awaited solo debut from Sebadoh boy, pop-wunderkind Jason Loewenstein. Jason released material previously under the name Sparkalepsy. This ain't no side project. This is a damn fine record. Here's what Jason has to say about 'side projects:'

'I dont believe in the idea of side projects. The term devalues the endeavor. It assumes that two musical occupations are attached somehow when they usually are not. Because I participate in the band Sebadoh and performed in the band Palace, does this make Palace my side project? Obviously not. Sparkillepsy is what I call the fourtrack material that I release. Since most of the songs that I bring to Sebadoh originate on the fourtrack and by defintion are those of Sparkillepsy, Sebadoh is really a Sparkillepsy side project. I prefer to ignore the term side project altogether. Who would dare say to another Would you like to play in my side project? This is not an attractive offer. Would you like to be in my less important life? Would be just as effective.' - Jason Loewenstein
