Vic Chesnutt is a true iconoclast and hidden American treasure making some of the most powerful music of his career in collaboration with his "Constellation" band, which features Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) and members of Thee Silver Mt. Zion and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. At The Cut is Vic's second record with this group, following the widely acclaimed North Star Deserter album from 2007.
