The 2010 Collection features original designs, printed in limited quantities on American Apparel garments, features custom hang tags denoting designer and band.
About the Designer:
Rob Carmichael is a graphic designer based in Brooklyn, where he founded SEEN, an independent art direction and graphic design studio. His work at SEEN includes cover art and packaging design for Beirut, Dirty Projectors and Animal Collective. He is also founder and artistic director of Catsup Plate, an independent record label known for painstakingly hand-made, limited-edition music products.
About the Band:
Atlas Sound is the solo project of Bradford Cox, of Deerhunter. Their first studio album, Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See but Cannot Feel, was released in 2008. The album received praise for its unique approach to song writing; using a "stream-of-consciousness" approach Cox often creates songs and lyrics on the spot. The band's follow-up, Logos, was hailed a critics' favorite and featured numerous guest musicians, including Noah Lennox from Animal Collective and Lætitia Sadier of Stereolab. Bradford imbues all music with a uniquely emotional and spontaneous feel.
