2005, Troubleman Unlimited
Ottawa/Montreal homeboys Kepler return with their third TMU full-length. Their patented "slo-core" sound has been streamlined, adding strings and horns, and even speeding up a few songs. Their sound was such a huge influence on Godspeed You Black Emperor that they toured together. The band employs a "less is more" philosophy that enables them to produce wonderfully sparse, lilting songs. Members also played in The Arcade Fire.
