RESTOCK. On "Bang Bang," Oma Yang’s third album, the group achieves a new cohesiveness and clarity in their music, creating
a brand of noisy rock and roll that’s as comfortable wrestling with their independent rock peers as drinking
beside the prog–rock and jazz pioneers from which they acquire their strongest influences. From soaring,
triumphant melodies to dissonant chaos, "Bang Bang" finds the band at their strongest yet. Where their epony-mous
debut and 2000’s "From The Heart Of Jumbo Malaria," captured the band members
developing their individual styles in a group environment, "Bang Bang" exposes a more polished quartet.
Oma Yang have managed to perfect the songs found on "Bang Bang," allowing record engineer Rafter Roberts
(Black Heart Procession, Hot Snakes) room to work within the demanding confines of their complex song
structures. The passion and energy that are so prevalent in their live shows manifest themselves in the incredible
atmospheres and lunatic textures of "Bang Bang."
