Battle of Electricity

The Gerbils have been in hibernation since the unforgettable winter of 1998 with its blizzards and snowmen. In the second spring of the amazing new millennium, they have emerged from the long night, bringing to the light their second CD, "The Battle of Electricity." The Gerbils (Scott Spillane, John d'Azzo, Jeremy Barnes, and Will Westbrook) are also known for their amazing orchestration on Neutral Milk Hotel's "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea," not to mention their contributions to Bablicon and Olivia Tremor Control. While sharing a similar sonic approach as the Athens staples, the Gerbils retain their identify with their penchant for pysch-pop that holds a depth that's all their own.
