mark jamesThis dude, this Adam Baker, sounds more and more like Joe Philips, an old indie rock hometown hero (turned NYC music scene chaser) from now-defunct FAFB. This music made me reflect on those old fewbs, and I cannot recommend anything more nostalgic for fans of melodic post-punk; it's really good, too.
Ben EmmelThe sound of Annuals instantly draws comparisons to bands as varied as Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, and the Flaming Lips. Varied, but never boring, the Annuals do very well indeed on their debut, with a raw energy running throughout.
