An extended meditation on one of the year's most talked about films; 34 minutes of instrumental film score and six new vocal tracks from the soundtrack to Todd Solondz's ?Storytelling? as performed by Belle & Sebastian. Though all the music is by the group, this isn't exactly a proper B&S album, the bulk of the selections are instrumentals, intercut with snatches of dialogue from the film. That said, those instrumentals bear the kind of quiet grace and intimate beauty that the band's fans have come to expect; elegant little chamber-pop pieces with just the right blend of beauty and naturalism. The new songs written for the project have wit and melody aplenty, again a B&S trademark.
