The Singles are a four-piece guitar pop/rock phenomenon. All in their early twenties, and hailing from the oh-so-hyped garage land of Detroit, The Singles are comprised of Vincent Frederick (lead vocals, guitar), Will Yates (lead guitar, backing vocals), Dave Lawson (bass, backing vocals) and Dave Knepp on drums. Together they are incredibly original tunesmiths, who blend guitar textures both crunchy and jangly, and golden harmonies with melodies deluxe. While comparisons are unfair, their pristine sound can easily likened to Texan Beatle rockers Cotton Mather's masterpiece recording, Kontiki. Add some vintage Flaming Groovies, early Buzzcocks, Only Ones, The Dentists, Sneetches and, of course, Mersey-beat era Beatles, and you may have found the musical cocktail that makes up The Singles sound.
