RESTOCK. This is the third full-length by Portland, Oregon's Wow & Flutter. On the tails of last year's album Pounding the Pavement, Wow & Flutter did a little re-structuring. Drawing from late 60's Pink Floyd and 90's Chicago bands like Rex, Him, Sea and Cake and June of '44. Wow & Flutter takes cues from that and make it their own. Ringing guitars herald in brooding melodic landscapes. Sweeping sonic arrangements give way to sparse quiet vocals. From the droning ambiance of "candle a tus" to the haunting melancholy of "confessions," they take you from one song to the next, like showing you rooms in a well-worn house. Similar in tone and form to GYBE! and the Black Heart Procession.
