Following the success of his debut album, ,i>fi, Wolverhampton, England's Stephen Wilkinson, aka Bibio, has assembled Hand Cranked, a fourteen-track collection of idyllic, found-sound and lazy-Sunday musical ramblings. A self-taught musician from an area in central England often referred to as the Black Country, Wilkinson discovered the music of such experimental electronic artists as Aphex Twin, Autechre, and Boards of Canada while studying at the University of London's Sonic Arts school. He quickly christened himself Bibio (after a fly fishing lure favored by his father) and immersed himself in the new music.
