VINYL FORMAT. After a brief rest following the Grammy-nominated, poll-topping album Sound of Silver, LCD Soundsystem returns with a song written for the soundtrack to the Sony Pictures film 21. James Murphy's concept that a big rock song made for a movie could sound like more than a balls-out Big Rock Song, the track delivers in unexpected ways, from the edgy opening two minutes that alone could serve as the score to a car chase, to the sudden explosion of choirs, blissful harmonies, and larger-than-life chorus. Babytalk, who has created quite a buzz with two top-notch releases and is currently the toast of underground dance music and disco heads, remixes the track into something seemingly slower and definitely more sinister.
