There isn't a lot of guessing required to determine Doomriders' tastes -- the obnoxiously colored cover art, complete with lightning bolt-armed hooded skeleton riding a winged black mare, pretty much screams "Metal." Doomriders kicks out a high-octane dose of doom-flavored uptempo rock, with just enough hardcore and punk thrown in to give it a racy edge. This isn't your older brother's spandex-clad '80s metal -- it's the down 'n' dirty stuff that forgoes image for sound. If you're looking for comparisons, think of Motörhead teamed up with the likes of Fu Manchu and Entombed. It's heavy, it's relentless, and of course it sounds better the louder it's turned up.
