Blue Epic
Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, Blue Epic would rightly consider themselves outside of any particular music scene. Their music proved just that with melodic, heartfelt rock songs. Awash with voluptuous, dirty clamor of Johnny Marr-meets-Edge influenced guitar and anthemic melodies resonating with crackling, minor-key splendor, Blue Epic make the most of their mercurial, closet Anglophile nature, understanding and harnessing a provocative balance between beautiful, bad-ass noise and quixotic quiet.
Sadly, this band has broken up, though they were successful in proving that a band could produce music of such caliber unlike anything the town had produced before.
