Go Slowly All the Way Round the Outside (CD)
Denver-based BLUSOM (pronounced "Blue-Some") is the unique duo of Jme White and Mike Behrenhausen, veterans of the music scene who have recorded and toured with previous bands JUHL, ACROBAT DOWN, and MARACA FIVE-O. Their first full-length release, "Go Slowly All The Way Round The Outside" is being hailed as the perfect mix of heartbroken vocal melodies, thoughtful instrumentation, unfailing indie pop sensibilities with studio experimentation, and ambient electronics. As one journalist described, it's "like SUPERCHUNK meeting RADIOHEAD in APHEX TWIN's tanning booth." Recorded entirely by White at his Thin Air Studios in Denver, the strength and beauty of "Go Slowly All The Way Round The Outside" lies in the duo's combination of songwriting skills and studio experimentation to create something new and honest.
