A big fan of The Notwist, Boy In Static sent a three song demo to The Notwist's new Alien Transistor label in Germany around late 2003

A few months later, just as he was buying tickets online for The Notwist's upcoming Boston show, an email from Alien Transistor arrived in his mailbox telling the label was interested and would like to meet

By pure chance it was only one week until the Boston show

After the show, Boy In Static met Alien Transistor for the first and only time, so far

Over the next few months Boy In Static finished recording the full length called 'Newborn,' finalizing details with Alien Transistor via email

Newborn is Boy In Static's debut album and first set of recorded tracks

The entire album was recorded over the past two years (2003 - 2004) in his Boston apartment

The entire album was written, performed, and produced by Boy In Static

Two friends play on one track (Epilogue, track 7) on drums and bass

All other instruments were performed by Boy In Static
