Brief of Light

A brand new album from San Francisco multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer/designer Scott Solter. Known for his production work (Tarentel, Spoon, Okkervil River, Court and Spark, John Vanderslice), Solter steps into the spotlight with an album of surreal ethno-ambience, performed sans electronics with hand instruments, drums, field recordings, voices, tabla, lap steel, bamboo and brass flutes, and an assortment of other ghostly objects. Packaged in handcrafted Indian burlap wraps, with deep letterpress printing done at Starshaped Studios in Chicago
