VINYL FORMAT. At last, a vinyl edition for one of the Pavement deluxe reissues - the fourth and most recent Brighten the Corners: Nicene Creedence Edition, from this past December!
This super deluxe M-Pak accordion style box set comes with a 16-page, 12" x 12" full color booklet, MP3 coupon, and huge essay by New Yorker critic Alex Ross. The vinyl edition of this album also contains eight extra tracks not on the CD, five of which are previously unreleased and including the track "Agony of the Stars." Also includes material from the CD version: the re-mastered original twelve song album, ten non-album B-sides, ten outtakes, and fourteen live radio session tracks. The wealth of extra material testifies to the extraordinary creativity of the band in this period.
A rather joyous pop explosion after the complications of Wowee Zowee, Brighten the Corners received both critical acclaim and commercial success.

Andy BartonWow, thanks a lot Matador. Release the CD last year and then put out the vinyl months later with extra songs that weren't on the CD reissue so we can rebuy the thing again for the third time (for those of us who own the original record/CD). Indie labels are so much better than majors, who're always re-releasing the same record or DVD with an extra song or video or whatever. Can't wait to see what version of Brighten the Corners you do next.
Kylie PorterPavement, aside from being the best band in the world, have truly outdone themselves with this release. Brighten the Corners & Terror Twilight. If you like (for want of a better word) indie bands-you must add PAVEMENT to your collection. Enjoy!!
