1) Cable was a British alternative rock/Noise Pop band formed in the early 1990s by Matt Baguley (guitar, vocals), Darius Hinks (guitar), Pete Darrington (bass) and Neil Cooper (drums).
Cooper left in 1995, and was replaced by Richie Mills.
Influenced by Fugazi, Big Black, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Flipper and Rapeman they recorded their first session for the BBC's John Peel show in October 1994. They recorded their first mini album "Down-Lift The Up-Trodden" which was released on Infectious Records.

In 1997 the single "Freeze the Atlantic", from their first full length album "When Animals Attack", was used in a Sprite TV advert...
