Cavalier

Tom Brosseau is a journeyman American songwriter. He writes and sings deceptively simple songs portraying the everyday, and like the circumstances these songs describe, they are often fine and mellow, normal and plainspun, but occasionally, when the light is just right, prove quite profound. Cavalier was produced by PJ Harvey collaborator/producer John Parish, and the results are sparse and straightforward yet achieve great beauty. The performances primarily consist of gentle acoustic guitar supporting delicate and occasionally high, trilling male voice, delicately shaded by gentle organ and unobtrusive percussion.
