This is a natural colored Chairlift tote bag. It was
designed by Samantha Pleet, and printed on an
NGTOTE Canvas Stock 10 oz. Grocery Tote in a
limited edition of 84! On the heels of our 2009
Collection and driven by the same desire for
impeccably designed, quality band apparel,
Soundscreen Design approached five highly
regarded design studios and fashion designers to
create original designs for their choice of two
inspiring, influential bands. The 2010 Collection
features original designs, printed in limited
quantities on American Apparel garments, features
custom hang tags denoting designer and
band.
About the Designer:
New York Designer Samantha Pleet debuted her namesake collection for the Fall 2006 season. Her signature rompers, jackets and chic day dresses are now best sellers at boutiques across the US and abroad, and she has developed a specialty in dressing indie bands such as Au Revoir Simone, Chairlift, Beach House, and Apache Beat. She also designs Rapscallion, a more accessible line exclusively for Urban Outfitters.
About the Band:
What was originally intended as a project to create music for haunted houses has evolved into what is now known as the electropop band Chairlift. Formed in 2005 in Boulder, Colorado, the band consists of Caroline Polachek (vocals, keyboards), Aaron Pfenning (guitar, synths, vocals), and Patrick Wimberly (bass, drums). Relocating to Brooklyn, the band released their debut album Does You Inspire You in 2008. Their song "Bruises" was featured by Apple in an iPod commercial, launching them immediately to international and commercial success.
