Apollo Up! returns with with their sophomore release, Chariots of Fire. Apollo Up has captured their signature live energy in the studio. The album features a more polished and mature approach to songwriting along with cathartic guitars, emotive vocals and raw production. Phillips, the band's primary songwriter, sums it up best by saying that "we've either hit our stride or are getting a lot closer to it." Smother Magazine agrees, "Armed to the teeth with throaty vocals and energetic guitars, Apollo Up do the post-hardcore thing with loud results. This band has the goods and then some!" Keep an eye out for their upcoming features in both Alternative Press and Copper Press. Upbeetmusic explains it best, "Loud, abrasive, but subtlety genius alternative rock/post-hardcore just doesn't come this easy and dangerous nowadays, and the parents should be worried." Recommended for fans of Elvis Costello, Rocket From The Crypt and Hot Snakes.

David ReisHow is Nashville different from everywhere else? They like to party all the time! First, Be Your Own Pet, now Apollo Up!. Indie Post-Hardcore trio Apollo Up! records for local label Theory 8 Records. The result is an energetic album with dynamic-powerful guitars and emotive melodic voices. "Walk the Plank" and "Cut Up" are infectious songs. Modern punk-rock with an alternative edge, full of youthful excitement. Our heads up and down. You can't help it. 'Chariots of Fire' should do just that. Each song has a unique rhythm pumped with progressive sequenced drumbeats. This is an incredible album of new wave rock.
