Cihangir Remixes

Cihangir’s original smoky theme has been developed by three stellar remixers on this album. Brennan Green applies his super saturated analog effects to the original, coaxing out an unexpected dreamy house track, while Underground Resistance’s DJ 3000 takes the already existing ambient sounds of the track and laces them into deep techno. The hidden surprise on this one is from Ghostnote, aka Anton Esteban and Alex Posell, one of the DJs from the esteemed New York underground disco crew No Ordinary Monkey. Their version pins a slow techno heat-up under dubbed out vocals and extended synth lines—a perfect track for late nights in a Chinese restaurant in the basement of a building in the financial district.
