Originally conceived in New Orleans, a place defined by rampant hedonism and its not-so-hidden roots of voodoo and elegant witchcraft, Home Video uprooted to the diverse hard-partying cultural disco of Brooklyn, New York where they re-grouped and rehearsed, wrote and recorded and caught the ear of Warp. Absorbing everything from Smashing Pumpkins and New Order to Kraftwerk and Boards of Canada yet bristling with originality, Home Video's dark, electronically-fuelled pop could very well be the sound of a new musical movement.
