Cripple Crow

#35 Seller of 2005! Singer/songwriter Devendra Banhart presents his fourth album, the 23-track Cripple Crow, and first for XL Recordings in North America. The artist rose to indie rock prominence via several releases for New York-based Young God Recordings since 2002, particularly last year's Rejoicing in the Hands. Cripple Crow blends Banhart's familiar acoustic side with a broader range of instrumentation on such tracks as "Long Haired Child" and "When They Come." Three ballads, "Santa Maria Da Feira," "Quedate Luna" and "Luna De Margarita," are sung in Spanish, which was Banhart's primary language growing up in Caracas, Venezuela.
