Storms of Early Summer: Semantics of Song (CD)
If we were to describe what Cursive's album sounds like, we would be in conflict with the thematic essence of the album itself. However, since this description is intended to tell you whether or not you are interested in Cursive musically, we will mention a few bands and/or songs which have positive characteristics we find in Cursive: Fugazi (in their ability to mix hardcore and pop while paying extraordinary attention to song structure and dynamics); Bettie Serveert / The Pretenders (in their arrangement of vocal melodies and articulation); The Cure / The Smiths (for their moody emotion / sad pop); Lungfish / Run DMC (for their infectious grooves from the drums and bass); Pixies / Modest Mouse (for their erratic guitar styling)

| I bought Domestica a while back and thought it was great, my brother got me this CD for my birthday in November 2002, and I haven't taken it out of my CD player yet. Everytime I listen to it I find a reasons to listen to the whole album over again. It's one of those albums that gives me goosebumps. | |
