As many concertgoers would attest, electronic music is not particularly visually engaging, at least as live music experiences go. Dan Deacon seeks to upend the high-minded seriousness of the avant-garde and inject a fair amount of goofiness and absurdist fun into his 21st-century version of the one-man band. Armed with dime-store toy keyboards, vocoders, and other circuit-riddled oddities, Deacon coaxes strange blips and squeals while happily singing along in a slightly demented fashion.
